B: Blue Eagle, I would like to ask you a question about meditation: Matthieu Ricard, in his last book, ‘‘L'Art de méditer’’, proposes to practice meditation with eyes half-closed, looking straight ahead or slightly towards the floor. However, some people find it easier to keep their eyes closed. Does this detail have any important influence on concentration?

BE: The complete technique is to close your eyes if you have an agitated mind, to keep them open if you have a tendency to go snoozing during meditation, and to keep them half-open if you are experimented. When people practice visualization exercises, they usually keep their eyes closed, but then, if they want to increase their concentration, they can keep them half-open, and later, open.

B: How can you describe the mind of a meditating person? Does meditation mean a complete interruption of the thinking process, or rather a continuous concentration on the same object? Is it possible to completely interrupt the thinking process for a while?

BE: True meditation is a state where the thought remains motionless. The most exact wording I could find for this is ''conscious awareness''. Concentrating on an object, visualization or a sound are intermediate exercises to achieve the ability to meditate without any object. And this doesn’t mean to interrupt your thought, but rather to leave it completely quiet, by letting any thought simply pass by. Indeed, thought is different from ''conscious awareness''. The Human Being animates the co-creation of the world with the Divine, and thought is the main instrument of this co-creation. Thus, Man (with the same meaning as used in Vladimir Megre’s books, neither feminine nor masculine, but the one who is created in God’s likeliness, hence the use of a capital “M”), when he enjoys perfect inner harmony, can concentrate on the manifestation of the ideal with active creative thought, and then contemplate the result of his co-creation, namely his life and all that he creates, in a state of beatitude and total rest, which we can name ''conscious awareness''.

B: Does this mean thoughts are still coming up, but we just ignore them? Does it mean it is impossible to experience a state where thoughts are completely absent of our mind? For example, if one concentrates on a sound, can it be considered as a thought?

BE: Yes, there is a state without any thought at all, called ''contemplation'' or ''meditation without object''. Here, the sound is a thought indeed, since there is an object.

B: Now I have a question on the spiritual quest: some people devote their life to get closer to their inner being; for that purpose, they will spend hours every day, for example meditating, or developing a physical practice, or praying ; they can isolate themselves most of the time so as to better connect themselves to their inner source. Some others have no concept of spirituality, but are moved by other people’s destiny, and live a completely altruistic life. I have a friend who devotes her whole free time, including a large part of her nights, and all her money as well, to an association she created to help young delinquents. Some others will voluntarily campaign for the exiled children from Tibet, or any other altruistic cause, etc. Spirituality often teaches us that every individual being is a mere particle of the universe, and that he should seek to retrieve this state of fusion with the wholeness, and to forget about himself as an individual. When I look at those people devoting themselves entirely to others, I have the feeling they are in total harmony with that teaching, even when they don’t want to hear a word about spirituality. And when I strive to have more and more time for meditation, to connect myself to my being, to isolate myself for my practice, even if it doesn’t mean to nourish my ego, I don’t get the impression that I am connected to the universe, or that I’m doing anything for those suffering on the earth. I know this practice can help us to connect to the universe, but in the same time, it appears to me as quite egoistic. How can this paradox be solved?

BE: This question can be solved through the understanding of what Native Americans call ''the original instructions'', or what some other masters describe as being the purpose of a Man’s life. Each ''Man'' should answer this question for himself, as every being has a unique mission. When one accomplishes his inner mission, one is in harmony with the world and in connection to the Divine, be it through activity or meditation. The real question is ''Who am I?'' The real answer, already given since Antiquity by Socrates, is ''Know thyself, and thou shalt know the universe and the gods''.

The light of dawn fills the sky with bird songs!

The songs are contemplative, not yet the joyful songs of the days’ activities.

Everything is very quiet and clean after the drizzle that fell during the night.

The flower buds have opened on the trees and certain flowers are waiting to greet the sun. We feel that this day will be intense, filled with life and growth.

Nevertheless, now, everything is quiet, the sun has not risen above the mountain and yet all Nature is posed for this fertile and vibrating spring Sunday …

I feel my garden is going to receive much attention today!!

Wednesday 15 april 2009 3 15 /04 /Apr /2009 12:10

This morning, before dawn, I was out working.
The earth was frozen.
I spent a long time tending the land.
When it was nice and warm again in the sun, around 8, after my work,
I sat down on the ground to rest and admire nature around.

Suddenly, I could smell an onion-like scent.
I looked, and there, just next to the snow, was some small chive.
Yesterday still, snow had covered the place where it was growing.
Its first sprouts came as soon as the first rays of the sun touched the earth.
It was tasty.
I ate two small blades, but they are still pleasant deep in my throat, and the scent is persisting.

Dear all,

I have received several requests to come to Europe and perform concerts.

The dates are not settled yet, but I should be coming in October to the South of France and maybe to Belgium as well.

As soon as we have time to set up a calendar on this blog you will be able to keep track of what I will be offering.

If you want to organise a concert in your region, and/or a workshop on Native American music therapy, and/or on Native American therapy with crystals, you may get in touch with Dominique at dominique@invocation.ca .

Looking forward to sharing precious moments with you!

All our relations

Dear friend(s),

I was asked to write more regularly on my blog. I received many questions from those who know me and want to know more about my thoughts on certain topics.

I confess that with the managing of my firm Invocation, the projects for new books which are in progress, added to daily life obligations, I was wondering where I could possibly find any time for this. Sometimes, things are exactly as for a mountain brook, early in the morning: you have to dive into the water, without taking any time for reflection!

Then, here we are. One of the questions I was asked lately, is about illness: what does illness represent for me?

Illness is the manifestation of the Great Mystery, the Great Spirit, God, our inner Source, our Soul or whichever name we like to give to our essential nature, which is trying to communicate with us.

First of all, illness is nothing natural. Our inner, fundamental being, as well as our body, are governed by laws which are universal, and both reflect the perfect and eternal health which every being who respects the laws of the universe will enjoy.

If we live in discordance with the immutable laws of the world, our Superior Power will immediately use many various ways of notifying us about this disharmony. Then, if we do not pay attention to this message, it will insist by creating trouble or even illnesses in our body. This is something very positive. Indeed, illness becomes a signal which enables us to rectify our way of life, our thoughts and emotions in accordance with the laws of the universe.

When we respect the laws of the universe, we enjoy perfect health, permanent joy, and keep marvelling about the beauty of the world surrounding us. Our potential is infinite, I insist, totally aware of the impact of my words, our potential is actually infinite, for we were created in the likeliness of God, and everything was given to us right from the beginning.

As sons and daughters of God, we were also granted free will, which is why we sometimes do not make the right choices in our lives. For the past 12 000, the forces of darkness and destruction, which will always be present in the universe – as there is a balance between life and death – those forces, then, have been very active and very successful in lessening Man’s potential and freedom. They conditioned Mankind so that it would serve them, and their actual purpose is the destruction of Man’s beauty and perfection. Thus, most of us were deformed right from our birth and even before, by the conditionings and medicine set up by the forces of darkness. As a result, illnesses are very numerous, and new diseases appear every year.

For instance, if food containing GMB1 is absorbed, the bodies digesting them will then become mutant, increasing the gap from original purity and perfect health, which is Man’s heritage. New very severe diseases will appear, and doctors will not know how to deal with those problems, which will prove very complex, since they will come from an alteration of Man2’s DNA. The universe teaches us that life and creation are perfect, that there is no need to change what is already perfect. If we know nature, and live in harmony within it, it will give us all we need to be healthy and develop our potential to its maximum.

Thus, illness is a very accurate way of communicating the laws of the universe, which reflect the dream of the Great Spirit for his child, Man, and his creation, our wonderful Earth Mother. We created the earth together with God, thus, it can give us everything, and nothing was forgotten. We are the ones who did forget the earth. But, as any mother would, it is always ready to embrace us in her bosom again and again, and help us correct our errors, so that our children, and the children of our children may experience the perfect health and perfect joy intended for Man from the very beginning.

If illness arises let it be our teacher, our map to the way back to the path of luminous truth. Let it be, not our enemy, but our partner and friend, the one who will show us the path we can follow to retrieve joy, health, beauty and love!

Peace and Light to all of you,

Blue Eagle

1. Genetically modified bodies.
2. I now use the word “Man” with a capital letter to indicate the divine and perfect nature of male and female human beings, who were made in the likeliness of the Great Spirit.
